I forgot to tell you that a week ago tomorrow, I got a kitty. A little, scrapy stray that used to belong to my roommate, S's boyfriend's step-sister and brother-in-law. S and I named him Emmerson. He was a total sweetie. But today, I got home from being away all day, to find my landlord "fixing" the hot water heater, with the door wiiiiiiiiide open. He'd put S's cat, Muse in her bedroom. But Emmerson is gone. I've spent the last hour and a half casing the neighborhood looking for him. He didn't have tags yet or anything, or front claws. I think my kitty is gone for good.
My heart is breaking.
