I'm writing this from the libraray at school. I'd forgotten HOW MUCH I LOVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET. Oh, my LORD. I just zip from one site to the next no waiting sighing, fingertapping book reading agony, oh no. Just zip zip zip. Damn you, $50 a month high speed internet. Damn you.

And with that little hissy fit out of the way, hi! This has been the summer of reading and I've been reading books like a mad woman. I've got a couple to reccommend.

BOOK ONE

Theory of Relativity by Jacqulyn Michard.

this is the story of Gordon and his sister, Georgia, who were adopted. When Georgia dies (in the first chapter!) a furious custody battle ensues over her daughter, Keefer. It was interesting to me because I didn't realize there were people and even laws that didn't recognize adopted children as blood relatives. It's a good summer read.

BOOK 2

About A Boy by Nick Hornby

It's the movie with the very hot newly shorn Hugh Grant. Well, before that it was a book. I liked it because (and this is going to sound weird) it didn't have a happy ending. I mean, it didn't have a sad tear-jerker ending either. It was realistic. Not happily ever after. I was left feeling strangely satisfied.

BOOK 3

Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells. '

Now I know people are going to accuse me of being a Johnny-Come-Lately with this, because people have been proclaiming it for AGES. And I tried to read it, I really did. But that hot pink cover. Euughh. So turned me off. I know I know, don't judge a book by it's cover. And now that I've found a copy of this novel with a pretty cover, I love it. I haven't actually finished it yet, but it's rich. It leaves me with the feeling of melting dark chocolate on my tounge. I've been reading it on my porch every night for a while. I'm trying to savor it.

Do me a favor and e-mail me if you've read any great books lately. I'm always looking for more!

More later. For now, I have to go. Job training. Another euughiuhg.
