I love sleep. One of my favorite things about Viviane in Devine Secrets is how she described tasting sleep. When I get up in the morning, I count how many hours it's going to be before I can come home for a small nap.

I can picture my bed as I left it this morning -- soft blue down comforter, left in pillowy folds on top of a knitted butter yellow blanket, on top of sage-green cotton sheets, that were, when I left this morning, still warm from the heat of my body. There are five pillows, one sage green, two yellow, one with a dark blue backround and a bubble print, and one with a light blue backround and a cloud print. Somewhere in the tangle of blankets and pillows, are two stuffed animals -- one floppy camel-colored bear that's been chewed on by an eager yellow lab puppy, and one stuffed doggy, with brown and white spots and a collar that reads "Freckles", and he is the perfect shape for wrapping your arms around and resting your face on while you fall asleep. I don't call him Freckles, though, I call him Doggie.

Sometimes other stuffed animals make their way into my bed, a chocolatey fuzzy bear with a red flannel bow around his neck, a fushia platypus, with yellow beak and feet and a tag that reads "God bless the sun God bless the sea and all the things precious to me." Sometimes my "Little Mikey" (No you sicko, that's not a euphamisim for anything!) Remember Mike Wazoski's bear in Monsters Inc? The one with one eye and four legs? Yeah, him. A terrycloth Eeyore, complete with pink bowed tail. I didn't buy any of these for myself, but I can't sleep without at least one. I'm thinking maybe I should outgrow this. I am 20 after all.

Man. And now after all of that I'm really tired!
